The blog may be down today

Morning all,

There comes a time when you need to change, and this week has been one of those times. Basically I need the next step in hosting. For over three years I have used Bluehost for all my websites, but now, with (slightly!) increasd traffic and more and more clients who also need hosting, I have decided to purchase my own VPS (Virtual Private Server). I will still be using Bluehost for some of my sites (web-presence.biz and also weddingphotographymarketing.com, and I would also like to add how good Bluehost have been, especially their support – thanks Mike!

I’ve chosen the excellent Virtual Server Warehouse, as they have an excellent reputation, are only 5 minutes from me and, I know the boss (it all helps!). They provide excellent speed, back up and will be also installing a monitoring service which will text me if anything goes down for any reason (I will blog about this soon).

So, with my limited knowledge of all things server side, there is a steep learning curve ahead whilst I figure how to transfer theappleofmyi.com and the blog over to the new server. This MAY mean that this blog is down for a while, and also my theappleofmyi email may play up for a while, so if you need to get in touch, then drop me a line at reachjm at googlemail.com or ring me on 01113 815 5678.
