Yahoo! dancing with Matt

Yahoo! may have been going through a VERY rocky time recently and not sure about what they need to do int he future, but they still know how to have some fun, and that is important!

You may well have heard of Matt Harding, of travelling around the world and dancing fame, (blogged about here a while back), well Yahoo! invited him to come and do his stuff on their campus and it looks like they had a great time!

So remember, if things are looking a bit grim, and you are feeling a bit low, smile, and have some fun :-)

Never, ever let fears get in the way of your dreams

Tuesday afternoon in East Yorkshire. The sun is trying to come out, the washing needs sorting, and I’m getting hungry! It seems like a small world sometimes, when you just focus on the day to day things that need doing, and of course working to pay the bills.

It’s good to sit back every now and again and dream. Something that always helps me to dream is to think of just how big the world really is, and Matt Harding shows this brilliantly.

If you haven’t heard of Matt, you may have heard of his ‘where the hell is Matt?’ videos. Originally filmed for family and friends during his first travels, the clips show him dancing centre stage in various countries. He edited them together, to the excellent soundtrack from Deep Forest (we listened to this all the time when in Thailand) and the final video went viral. Having had such an amazing response to this first video, he produced another in 2006 called Dancing 2006, with the help of a sponsor (Stride Gum). This has been watched over 9 million times on YouTube!

Now in 2008, he has just released the follow up featuring people dancing with him in 42 countries! Apparently he had so many emails from people wanting to join him dancing, that he approached Stride Gum again and pitched the second trip, and they went for it.

So, sit back and smile, and remember that the world is a great big place, with so much to see, and if you fancy seeing it, or doing something, anything, never, ever let fears get in the way of your dreams.
