Mozilla, and their most excellent browser Firefox were attempting to set a new world record for software downloads a few days ago (17th), and I am happy to report, they succeeded! Over 8 million copies of the new Firefox 3 were downloaded in a given period of time! Congrats to all of you who downloaded it!
I’m using Firefox 3 right now, and it seems pretty fast and stable. Google Browser Sync is still not working though, and Google have actually said they are going to stop supporting it! The official announcement is here on their blog here, but with over 100 comments urging them to reconsider, you never know. I
In the meantime, you can use Foxmarks, a Firefox plugin, which is supposed to be excellent. I am going to give it a go and report back.
PS If you fancy a personalised Firefox download certificate, you can get it here!

Go get it boys and girls. I’ve installed it on the MacPro and MBP and seems great!
Congrats to Mozilla on getting it launched on schedule!
Remember to download Firefox tomorrow
Evening all,
A quick post tonight, as it’s been a long (but good) day with a client over near Leeds. Please remember that Firefox 3 is released tomorrow, so get ready to download it to help set a World Record! (If you are still using Internet Explorer, do yourself a BIG favour and set your alarm now!).

Firefox is currently my browser of choice and they have their brand new version, Firefox 3 coming out soon. They are trying to set a World Record on that day by getting the highest number of people to download it in a 24 hour period.
They have set up a great site here, where you can pledge to download and get some cool badges to display on your site (mine is proudly displayed in the side bar).
So, go and pledge and get ready to download! For those of you still using Internet Explorer (I know some of you are from the blog stats), please try Firefox, or Safari. They are so much better!
