Napalm being used by Warwick Council?!
Now this is brilliant
Read away and have a chuckle! (This is a real email sent to Warwick Council and happened to reach my inbox).

Subject: Use Of Weed Killer By Warwick Council In My Street
Hi,
I would just like to say thanks for the most ‘effective’ use of weed killer Ive ever witnessed in the alley way leading from the bottom of Eastley Crescent, Warwick, around and onto the Birmingham Road on the Warwick side of the A45.
Although I was aware that we were bringing back troops from Afghanistan at the moment, I hadnt read or heard in the news that the MOD were sub-contracting them out to you for use in Napalm strike operations.??Its really cheered me up to walk each day through what looks like the scene of an apocalypse where there was once a rich and healthy hedgerow full of birds, their nests and pretty undergrowth.
When it happened two weeks ago I was hoping someone might have the decency and foresight to come back with a strimmer and clear away the mass of decaying vegetation, dead insects and newly exposed Sainsburys bags full of dog sh*t left behind on the path and perhaps even apologise to the residents whose lawn edges have been obliterated.
Who knows, you might get round to it, unfortunately I wont ever know because by the time this email reaches you my whole family will have choked on the gases.
Yours,
Mr. Paul. E. Grasshopper.

Peek Email Device
If you are a tech-numpty, then this device could well be for you (if you just want emails and live in the US).
Called a Peek, it is a Blackberry-like device, but just focuses on email. No phone, no text, just email. $99 for the unit and $20 a month for the access to email and even no contract.
I wonder if this will take off? I think it is too simplistic for a lot of people, but you never know – the no contract bit could tempt a whole lot of people.

Top, top email tip
SEO Moz has a great blog about all things SEO (which you can find here and is well worth a subscribe). I’ve just been catching up on a few of their posts and this one in particular made very good reading.
If you have a business where you are sending out confirmation emails to customers, or in fact, any sort of email really, there is something easy you can do.
Ask those people to link to you. Ask them to blog about you.
It’s simple really. If someone already knows you, likes you and trusts you enough to buy from you or sign up for a newsletter from you, you already have a good connection with them. Therefore they are likely to be positive towards you and postive towards a link request. And we all know who likes links don’t we?!
So, the moral of this is, do not be shy, ask your customers to talk about / link to you. Referral and word of mouth are the best forms of marketing you can do.
