Innocently Brilliant

March 1, 2009 · Filed Under blog, branding

There are a few brands in the world I would love to work with. Brands that I truly respect and admire, and inspire me.

Innocent Smoothies is one of those brands. I wish I could remember when I actually had that first Innocent smoothie moment, but even now, they are my smoothie brand of choice. Why?

  • I know what I’m getting
  • Ethical
  • Taste great
  • A feel good factor
  • A cool, fun factor

Quite a few things that all add up to the greater good of their brand – they really do care about what they are doing. Both from a business / customer relationship POV, but also from the ethical, planet POV. No question, there brand resonates with me, and many, many others.

I urge you to spend a few minutes and look through this presentation from them which tells you about their history, their ethos and way of life. Innocently brilliant. (Hat tip to my “name buddy” over at Word of Moss who pointed me towards the presentation) :-)

Hi Jon – totally agree with you. Innocent is a marvellous brand. There are few brands that actually make you smile but this is one. When you see one of their plastic grass covered vans driving around it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Neil

Hi Neil :-) Their cars / vans are great aren’t they? I met a couple of the innocent team at the Do LEctures last year, and they were really nice people, and fitted the brand well.

It’s all very well organisations / copmanies / brands standing for something externally, but they MUST also do this inside as well. Unfortunately that was completely the opposite in my corporate experience, to the point of being laughable!
