Ps3-Gt-Pack-Europe-1
With the demise of HD-DVD (of which I have the Xbox 360 player), I am looking towards the time when I will need a Blu Ray player.

March 29th is apparently bringing us lucky folks in Europe, the Gran Turismo Prologue 5 PS3 bundle, which, price-dependent has me interested…… Not only do I get a competent Bluray player but also a PS3 gaming machine as well, plus one of the most eagerly anticipated games in history.

The growing popularity of the PS3 has, I am sure, led to the demise of HD DVD. The sheer critical mass of players sold, the movie studios going with Bluray and perhaps the marketing have all helped. Certainly from the outset the reviews seemed to agree that the Bluray format provided better quality, but I went for cost, as initially Bluray players were VERY expensive.

I would be interested to hear about what you all think…

Who has a DVD player?
Who has a HD-DVD player?
Who has a Bluray player?

Lastly, what will you buy, if anything, this year and beyond?
