I saw this last week and I’ve already participated in an IM chat with a happy fring user who was very happy!

fring is an application for mobile phone which seems to do some very wonderful things!

fring™ is a mobile internet service & community that enables you to access & interact with your social networks on-the-go, make free calls and live chat with all your fring, Skype®, MSN® Messenger, Google Talk™, ICQ, SIP, Twitter, Yahoo!™ and AIM®* friends using your handset’s internet connection rather than costly cellular airtime minutes.

As I am sure most of you suspected, it can be used by many mobile phones (full list on the website), but only with a hacked / jail broken iPhone, so I’m out of luck. Doh. Anyway, with any luck we may get small report from someone who is using it, cough, Ian :-)

Even I’m tempted to hack my phone in order to get VOIP :)
