This appeals to my Star Wars geekiness :-) Great job!

    Fan-bleedin-tastic!!

Star Wars and Lego – my childhood was based around those exact two things. Shame Star Wars Lego wasn’t around when I was small. I had to make do with Space Lego, Town Lego and Castle Lego

Rather special eh!? I remember space Lego and Lego technic well! Along with Smurfs too ;-)

It’s all cheating shape bits and wrong colours these days!

IMHO the rot set in with Lego Space with those little non square flat bits in grey. GREY: I ask you?! Technic – well that was when the magic happened. Sprung suspension, pistons, articulations, gearing – the world opened new doors that day.

I got Lego Robotic on day one. ‘had a play with Java on the brick – now my nephew has it…. and like me with my uncles prize and complete Meccano being played with in the garden… he made boats from his. Life comes around like that.

I am in receipt of an Indiana Jones Lego kit, a car, and a Meccano kit thus far this Yule :D

*spoilt boy / easy present target you choose.

Smurfs – you used to get them at a petrol station that no longer is didnt you – any offers to on jogging my (poor) memory?

Anthony, it looks like you’re an expert! I loved Technic too, and remember having the race car or go kart with the working steering rack and suspension! In yellow if I cast my mind back….

No robotic for me, and no Lego pressies this Xmas, BUT have seen the Indiana Jones kits – very nice, but a pig to dust if left out. I think a nice presentation case would be in order ;-)

As to Smurfs, they were the rage at Junior school and building ‘bases’ for them was a popular activity!
