Airtime!

Airtime!, originally uploaded by JonnyMoss.
Nick and I had a superb day at Cadwell Park, watching the British Superbikes Practice sessions. We had glorious weather (so a little red the evening!), great bikes and I had forgotten what a wonderful venue Cadwell is.
If you fancy taking some motorsport shots I highly recommend it and you don’t need a huge lens. There were a lot of amateur photogs like me, as well as the media boys. To be honest, I am quite pleased with the shots I got. The MkIII performed superbly – most shots taken in AI servo mode using shutter priority and high speed bursts (need to get some 4gb CF cards!).
Please do have a look here and let me know your thoughts on the photos.

pure class JB!
Thats a neat action shot!
Thanks Martin, much appreciated! It was a great day, sunny and a good atmosphere, even though it was just the practice sessions.
I’m just watching the ITV4 coverage of the actual race day and it looks like someone has been injured on the mountain – being airlifted to Lincoln hospital now. Hope he is ok.
Thanks Ted, managed to get a couple of them – a few well out of focus, down to user error!
GREAT PHOTOS – DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW LEON CAMION IS – CANT SEEM TO FIND OUT ANY NEWS ON HOW HE IS AFTER THE CRASH ON MOUNTAIN TOP
Hi Tracey,
MCN have some info here –
The latest news on Bike Animal Honda’s Leon Camier, following his Cadwell Park crash yesterday, is that he had his femoral fracture pinned this morning and that the operation was a success.
According to British Superbike sources, the plan is to get him up out of bed tomorrow and allow him home once he is well enough and, incredibly, that could be by the end of this week.
Leon Camier also has a pelvic fracture (iliac blade) which is apparently stable and minimally displaced.
He also has sprained knee ligaments from the earlier crash with Jonathan Rea in race one.
MCN has been advised further assessment on his injuries may follow.
So good news, looks like he is doing ok!
