Hull Open Coffee tomorrow
Morning all,
I love getting up early, you have so much more time in the day, can crack on with stuff straight away and you get a great sense of achievement when you reach 10am or so and have managed to do a lot already! I wanted to remind all the Hull people that we have the next Hull Open Coffee meeting tomorrow at 1pm at Starbucks, Hull city centre - click here for more details on upcoming. It would be great to see a few people and I am sure there will be lot’s to discuss with the iPhone coming, rumours of Microsoft buying a slice of Facebook and some great new web stuff like an app for Google analytics (I’m going to look at this in more detail soon), and Radioshift (review soon too).

If Bush went to Tehran ….
My good friend Richard has a great post up on his blog - do have a read here. I had heard something about this on the news… Can you imagine what would be the reaction if this had happened if Bush had visited Tehran? Mama Mia… would be a firestorm! Iran is a ticking time bomb at the moment and with the Bush presidency in its death throws, it could ignite and detonate at any time.

Halo 3 is launched
Finally after 3 years of waiting, Halo 3 was released at midnight in the UK this morning. One of the most anticipated games ever, Bungie (the people who made it) and Microsoft are looking to sell $70 Million worth of copies on the first day. My copy was posted from Amazon last night
For those of you who have played Halo 2 and finished it, here is the ending once more, getting you ready to finish the fight.

Now this is rather impressive
Morning all. Sorry for not much blogging, it’s turning into a VERY busy month, but a brilliant one! I just got to the Mac after waking up and saw that there was an EyeTV update, which I promptly downloaded and ran. I was then reading the new info and saw this above…. Now, how cool is that? You can encode anything you record and access it from the iPod Touch. WOW. I am now encoding a test programme and see if it works.
For those people who don’t know what EyeTV is, it’s a very nifty piece of software, which works in conjunction with one of Elgato’s little devices to record Freeview TV here in the UK (there are also versions for the US and they even get HD encoding). It works superbly and is very easy to use. I especially like the ability to export to iPod or Apple TV with one click. They have really thought out this software - intuitive and elegant. Which is no surprise on the Mac.
