Possibly not:
“In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Apple CEO Steve Jobs has claimed that the company’s iPhone inventory may not be enough
to meet demand. “We’re building a fair number of them, but we may not
[meet demand],” Jobs said. “We had to make our best guess as to what
the demand was going to be and what supply we were going to put in
place many, many months ago. We built factories to build these things
and everything. We’ve taken our best guess but it wouldn’t surprise me
at all if it ain’t enough.” Jobs also claimed that the iPhone has yet
to cannibalize iPod sales, stating, “We can report to you that it
hasn’t so far.” “
This is from the excellent iLounge website who, I am sure, are going to having a HUGE focus on the iPhone going forward.

Piclens
This look superb! Only works on Firefox on windoze and Safari on Macs, but boy, it’s slick. Piclens enables full screen slideshows from supported sites like flickr. Well worth a download. It has picked up a good review over on Techcrunch.

Cool! Here they are in front of the Palo Alto store! I feel a trip to London coming on to get first place in the queue on Regent Street!
Check out the guy first in line at the 5th Ave store!

Dood!
Near Willerby
Just back from our national sales conference, and glad to come home to a dry house. Cannot believe the flooding around the country - this is a shot from the Hull flickr pool, taken near Willerby roundabout and Waitrose. Incredible.
Loads to catch up on - usual photos, blogs and feeds - I feel a days holiday coming on!

I read about this a while ago and it looks like we should be able to buy one in the next few months. Chumby is a cool little device which, links to your wifi and can then show all kinds of stuff from the web, whether that’s your flickr stream, the time, weather etc etc. They are saying it will be $180, and if this is correct, I predict they will have a hit on their hands. (I’ll get one anyway!).

Someone’s been snapped!

Can you believe it?! Cult of Mac is reporting that there are ads springing up on Craigslist etc for people who want others to wait in line and snag them an iPhone!
My God. I wouldn’t want to miss out on the fun, and I intend to camp out, hopefully at the Regent Street Apple store when it’s launched in the UK. (Much to the amusement of my good friend Nick!).
I may also do this when Leopard is released. It just, well, appeals to me! Something different, fun, hanging out with fellow evangelists, a bit like when Kate and I waited almost 7 hours for two Xbox 360s on launch day, on my birthday, in Asda! What was I doing!!

Mobile internet certainly seems to be getting more popular, and with the old iPhone coming in less than a week, it is going to getting even more so in the future. I am using Opera Mini on the Blackberry, which is excellent - seems better featured than the Blackberry browser and easier to use. They have just released an Opera Mini 4 Beta - have a look here - but, I cannot get it working on my 8800. They do say they are having issues with some early firmware versions on the BB Peart, so that MAY be it. Any one else got it working?
